These figures represent some of the lower level Undead monsters which haunt the upper levels of dungeons and ruined castles. Each blister pack contained 3 figures, a Ghoul, a Shadow & a Zombie. There are at least 7 variants of the Zombie, 7 different versions of Ghoul II, maybe 5 or 6 of Ghoul I, but only one version of the Shadow figure. Ghoul II replaced Ghoul I in 1986. The only differences on the variant figures are found in head detail and facial features.
Pose 1, variant A. The Zombie figure represents an animated but decomposing corpse, staggering forwards with his left hand reaching outwards and a wooden club held in his right hand. He wears tattered clothing and has many wounds exposing flesh and bones beneath his skin. This particular variant has slicked-back hair, 2 empty eyesockets, an open mouth and 2 large holes in his right cheek. His head looks straight forwards.
Pose 1, variant B. This variant has skeletal face with tattered skin on the back of his skull. His head looks straight forwards.
Pose 1, variant C. This variant has a fringe of hair at the back of his balding head. He has a skeletal face with 2 small, bulging eyes, an open mouth and a large wound in the rear, right part of his scalp. His head looks straight forwards.
Pose 1, variant D. This variant is completely bald, and has fairly intact flesh on his head and face, except for 2 large wounds on the left side of his skull and a hole in his left cheek. His mouth is open and his head looks straight forwards and slightly upwards.
Pose 1, variant E. This variant is completely bald, and has fairly intact flesh on his head and face, except for a huge wound to the top, rear of his head that exposes his skull and brain! His mouth is open and his head looks straight forwards and downwards.
Pose 1, variant F. This Zombie is bald, and most of the flesh on the right side of his head is missing, exposing his skull. His right eyeball bulges out and his mouth is slightly open. His head is tilted and looks straight forwards and slightly downwards.
Pose 1, variant G. This Zombie is bald, and most of the flesh on the rear of his head is missing, exposing his skull. His mouth is open as if moaning, and his head looks slightly left.
Pose 2. The Shadow figure is a non-corporael Undead creature which attacks living beings by draining their strength. This model is depicted wearing a tattered, hooded robe, with both arms raised above its head.
Pose 3, variant A. This is the first of 2 different Ghouls, which was replaced by the second in 1986. This one has his left hand raised upwards with his right held by his waist. This variant has curly hair, long, pointed ears and an open mouth. His head looks directly to his front.
Pose 3, variant B. This variant has shoulder-length, straight hair with a centre parting, and short, pointed ears. He has a wide open mouth, and his head looks upwards and to his left.
Pose 3, variant C. This variant is bald-headed apart from a long hank of hair flowing down his back. He has very short, pointed ears and an open mouth revealing sharp upper fangs. His head looks upwards and to his right.
Pose 3, variant D. This variant is completely bald-headed. He has short, pointed ears and an open mouth with gritted teeth. His head looks sharply to his right.
